LOVE CHRISTMAS
This Christmas at St Ed’s, we’re joining together to bless people in need both locally and globally through our Love Christmas 2025 project.
We’ll be creating 50 Bags of Kindness for local families in Allenton and Shelton Lock, filled with food, treats, and essentials to bring hope this winter.
We’re also taking part in the Teams4U Shoebox Appeal for the first time — sending Christmas gifts to children living in poverty across Eastern Europe.

JOIN THE WAVE OF KINDESS THIS CHRISTMAS.
50 BAGS OF KINDNESS
We’re creating 50 Bags of Kindness filled with food, treats, and essentials for local families right here in Allenton and Shelton Lock. These gifts remind people facing a tough winter that their community cares for them.
Love Christmas Packing Evening
WEDS 19 NOV - 7.30PM at St Ed’s Church
Join us for a fun and meaningful evening as we pack our 50 Bags of Kindness for local families, and top up and prepare shoeboxes ready to be sent overseas.
We’ll have Christmas tunes playing, festive nibbles to share, and plenty of good cheer as we pack together!
SHOEBOX APPEAL
For the first time, St Ed’s is also taking part in the Teams4U Shoebox Appeal, sending Christmas gifts to children living in poverty across Eastern Europe and beyond. Each box is packed with small but meaningful items — toys, toiletries, stationery, and sweets — that bring huge joy to a child who might otherwise receive nothing at Christmas.
You can collect an empty shoebox from Sunday 19 October to fill yourself (guidance provided), and return it by Wednesday 19 November. There’s a £4 shipping charge per box, which we’d be really grateful if you could cover.
Or, if it’s easier, you can buy a pre-filled box for £15 plus £4 shipping, and we’ll fill and send it for you on your behalf. Find out more about the national appeal here → Teams4U Shoebox Appeal
