SERVICES

YOU ARE SO WELCOME HERE!

You might be non-religious, a little bit curious, or wanting to get stuck right in, you are equally welcome at St. Ed’s church. We don’t expect you to know the Bible, know how to pray, know what things mean, or know the words to the songs. Come along and (re) try church. We can’t wait to get to know you!

SERVICE DETAILS

  • You’re invited you to come and join us at our lively 10.30am service (doors open at 10am for fresh coffee and pastries).

Our services last 1hr15mins (approx) where we gather to sing (worship), read the Bible, teaching of the Bible, and a time of praying for each other and the world. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.

  • A quiet traditional communion service (with bread and wine) using Church of England liturgy (wording) to worship God. The minister will be robed and there will be a couple of traditional hymns, prayers, and bible reading.

There is no dress code and if you find a more traditional service style more helpful we'd love you to join us.

  • Holy Communion is an important practice of Christian worship where we remember the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross. This service takes the form of a shared meal of bread and wine, recalling the fact that, at the Last Supper, Jesus associated the breaking of bread and sharing of wine with his own imminent death, giving them special significance. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We are have a midweek traditional service with Holy Communion every Thursday at 9.30am.
