PRAYER

We are cultivating a culture of prayer and worship that relentlessly seeks the tangible presence and power of God in our lives, church and community.

PRAYER AT ST. ED’S

When we pray we are partnering with God to see His Kingdom Come and His will be done across our city, nation and world. Our prayers make a difference. It’s for this reason that prayer is so vital to everything we do at St. Ed’s. There are loads of ways we can pray and we’d love to invite you to get involved with some of these rhythms of prayer.

RHYTHMS OF PRAYER

  • Finding time to pray can be challenging for many of us. The Lectio 365 App (available for both iPhone and Android) is a really easy to use tool to help with developing a daily prayer rhythm. There's even a Lectio 365 for families.

  • We're part of a wider family of churches in Derby and are always looking for opportunities to gather together. With that in mind, you're invited to join the (Werb's) Morning Prayer meeting every Tuesday morning for 20mins on zoom at 7am. Grab a cup of coffee and join these prayer warriors. For security reasons, you'll need to email us to request access to this zoom meeting.

  • Join us for our monthly Kingdom Come Prayer & Worship night; A relaxed and inviting space where we will seek the presence of God together and pray for our church, community and world. Find out here when our next Kingdom Come is happening.

  • As a church we want you to know that we are praying for you. If you need prayer for anything, big or small, or know someone that does, please get in touch with us at prayer@stederby.org

One thing I ask from the Lord,
    this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.

— Psalm 27: 4
