Whether you’re non-religious, a little bit curious, returning to church after many years, or looking for a church to call home, you’d be so welcome at St Ed’s.

We don’t expect you to know the Bible, know how to pray, understand everything that happens or know the words to the songs. Simply come as you are—we’d love to welcome you.

Service Times and What to Expect.

9am Traditional Communion

A short, 30-minute service with Holy Communion, familiar hymns, Bible teaching and prayer. It offers a quieter and more reflective way to begin your Sunday.

Refreshments are served between our two services.

10.30am Modern Service

A lively and informal service with contemporary worship, practical Bible teaching and prayer.

Children’s groups run every Sunday, with youth groups on the first and third Sundays of each month. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.

The service usually finishes by 12pm.

  • Absolutely! Whether you're exploring faith, returning to church after many years, or simply curious, we'd love to welcome you.

  • Our 10.30am service usually includes contemporary worship, prayer, Bible teaching and opportunities to respond. There are activities for children every Sunday and youth groups on the 1st and 3rd Sundays. We normally finish around 12.00pm, followed by tea, coffee and plenty of conversation.

    Our 9.00am Traditional Communion service is a quieter, 30-minute service using familiar liturgy and finishes at around 9.30am.

  • We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes before the service starts so you have time to grab a drink, meet a few people and find a seat.

  • Children are a big part of church life at St Ed's. We have a children's group every Sunday and youth groups on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, with a team that loves helping young people explore faith in a fun and safe environment.

  • Whatever you feel comfortable in. You'll see everything from jeans and trainers to shirts and dresses—there's no dress code.

  • Not at all. You’re welcome to join in as much or as little as you’d like. There’s no pressure to sing, pray aloud or give money.

  • Anyone who normally receives Holy Communion in their own church is welcome to receive. If you’d prefer, you can come forward for a prayer of blessing or simply remain in your seat. We’ll explain everything during the service.

  • Yes. If you have any accessibility requirements, please get in touch before you visit and we'll do everything we can to help.

  • There is limited parking in the church car park, with additional free street parking within easy walking distance.
